At Low
Tide
My Masters Exhibition / Website can be viewed here. This site was originally created for examination purposes, and I have kept it in its original format for public viewing now that examination is completed.
My project is called 'At low tide: an absence of water, and abundance of plastic' . The idea of a low tide was used to unite my interests in marine plastic pollution , as is most evident during low tide, and the 2017/2018 Cape Town water crisis. This project navigated my experience as an artist creating water dependent work during a severe water shortage, how this lead to the use of ocean water to create my photographic prints and my interactions with marine plastic pollution during my collection of ocean water.
It is a project concerned with care, interconnectedness and self-reflection regarding the environmental plights that our plant faces and how my chosen alternative photographic mediums can reflect this.
